X-Rays

Dental X-rays are a preventative tool that provide insight into what is going on in areas of a patient’s mouth that is not immediately visible. If abnormalities are detected, your hygienist will forward the x-ray to your family dentist for further diagnosis and treatment. Without x-rays, many underlying conditions may go undetected. Dental x-rays may reveal:

  • Abscesses or cysts
  • Bone deterioration
  • Cancerous and benign tumors
  • Decay in between the teeth
  • Malocclusion
  • Impacted teeth or wisdom teeth
  • Deep decay

Detecting and treating dental problems at an early stage can save you time, money, unnecessary discomfort, and ensure that you keep your teeth healthy and strong well into old age.

Intraoral Pictures

Intraoral Pictures are taken with a small camera. This small camera takes photographs of the inside of your mouth, providing us with angles that would otherwise be hard to see.
